The San Jose School of Highland Dancing is affiliated with these governing boards in Scottish Highland Dancing.
The Royal Scottish Official Board of Highland Dancing (RSOBHD) is recognized as the governing board for Highland Dancing. The main function of the RSOBHD is to bring about co-operation between recognized associations, organizations, individuals and dancers connected with Highland Dancing.
ScotDance USA is the main organization of Scottish Highland Dance in the United States. It helps promote and nurture Scottish Highland Dance here in the states. Dancers register annually with ScotDance USA to be able to compete in RSOBHD-sponsored competitions around the world.
